Who Needs a DOT Physical?

• Has a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,001 lbs or more

• Transports more than 8 passengers (for compensation) or more than 15 passengers (not for compensation)

How Long Is a DOT Medical Card Valid?

Most drivers receive a 2-year certification if they meet all requirements. If you have certain health conditions (such as high blood pressure), your certification may be issued for a shorter period.
